Mt Kenya Difficulty Indicator:

A combination of very long days with steep paths, boulders and some mountain scrambling. The route follows reasonable paths through thick vegetation, up hillsides, across rocky areas, and slippery shale surfaces.  Glaciers and snow may be encountered, there is not need for technical climbing equipment. Due to higher levels of altitude, symptoms of altitude sickness may be experienced. Altitudes up to 6000m.
